Litbuy Finds & Product Discovery Guide

Use this Litbuy finds guide to compare prices, verify product links, and review QC sources. The related pages provide illustrative category examples; this guide does not maintain independently verified product records or community submissions.

Understanding Litbuy Finds

What makes a product a find

A find is a product link that has been shared by community members because it stood out for a particular reason — competitive pricing, unique design, consistent QC reference availability, or simply being an item that other shoppers were searching for. Finds are starting points for your own research. They are not endorsements, verified recommendations, or quality guarantees. Every find should be independently verified before ordering.

Finds vs direct product links

A product link is the raw URL to a Taobao or 1688 listing. A find includes that link plus community context — why someone shared it, which category it belongs to, and whether QC references are available. The link itself is identical in both cases. The difference is that finds come with discovery context that can help you decide whether an item is worth further investigation. Browse our Litbuy Links page for the full link verification workflow.

Finds vs spreadsheet entries

Community spreadsheet entries may organize individual products and supporting references. Our current link table instead records directory and category URLs, their sources, technical link status, and check dates. It does not contain product QC, prices, or seller comparisons. A find may come from a forum post or a curated list; verify its actual product page independently before ordering.

How to compare prices

When evaluating a find, open the product link to check the current listed price — marketplace prices change frequently and may differ from the price mentioned when the find was shared. Compare prices across sellers offering the same product. Factor in agent fees, currency conversion, and shipping weight. A find with a seemingly low listed price may become expensive after adding these costs. Record the actual agent fees, exchange rate and shipping quote, including any charges excluded from the estimate; no fixed fee percentage is established here.

Required QC evidence

Before ordering any find, check whether QC photo references are available. A find without QC references is a higher-uncertainty research starting point. Look for community-submitted QC photos showing the actual product from multiple angles — front, back, side, sole, tags, and close-ups of key details. Compare these against retail photos. If no QC references exist, you may want to order a smaller quantity first or wait for other shoppers to share inspection photos. See our QC Guide for inspection checklists.

Link verification method

Open the find's product link in a browser before pasting it into an agent. Verify that the product page loads, the description matches the find's notes, and images are current. Check for recent transaction history and seller store activity. If the page redirects, inspect the final destination before deciding whether it still matches the listing. An error or missing item may require checking the seller store for a current listing. Paste the link into your agent only after confirming the product page is active and the details match your expectations.

Last checked date

Look for a recorded check date and a clear description of what was checked. This guide does not provide per-product review dates. The homepage table records technical checks of directory and category URLs; those dates do not verify a product, price, seller, or QC photo. Recheck the actual listing before relying on it.

Litbuy Finds FAQ

What are Litbuy finds?

Litbuy finds are product links that shoppers have shared in community forums, spreadsheets, and research discussions. They represent example items that other shoppers have discovered and found interesting. Finds are independent research references — not verified recommendations — and prices, availability, and seller status may change at any time.

How are finds different from product links?

A product link is the direct URL to a listing. A find adds community context — someone has shared that link, usually with notes about why the item is interesting. Finds may include QC reference availability, price comparisons, and category notes, but these are observations from community members, not verified data. Always open the product link yourself to verify it is still active.

How should I use finds in my shopping research?

Use finds as starting points for your own research. Open each find's product link in a browser, verify the listing is active, check current pricing, compare seller details, and review available QC references. Do not assume a find's listed price or availability is current — marketplace listings change frequently. Cross-reference finds with spreadsheet resources for more comprehensive comparison.
